Picnic at Borgeson Log Cabin Posted on June 15th, 2010 by

As usual, the Geography Department held its traditional spring picnic on Reading Day. But this year it was at a new location–the Borgeson Cabin in the Linneaus Arboretum. It was fitting location since Dr. Douglas and a group of geography students saved the 1860s Swedish immigrant log cabin by moving it from a site in rural Nicollet County and reassembling it in the Gustavus arboretum. In attendance were professors, students, faculty kids, and even a dog named Prudence. A good time was had by all.
