Geography professor Bob Douglas has given many waterfall tours and is working on a field guide to the waterfalls of Southern Minnesota. His expertise on waterfalls was featured in a June 17, 2008 article in the Mankato Free Press. The article had a photograph of Bob standing in front of the Swan Lake Outlet Falls and featured a map prepared by Bob Douglas, Nick Sonsteby, and Chris Pouliot showing the locations of 10 different waterfalls in the St. Peter-Mankato area.
