Gabe Joyes ’08: Dream GIS Job in Wyoming

Gabe Joyes ’08 wrote to let us know that he has been hired by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department as a GIS Technician.  He will be based in the Lander, Wyoming office.  We all remember how Gabe fell in love with the American West while in Bob Moline’s class.  So, congratulations Gabe!

Gusties Grading AP Human Geography Exams

Gustavus geography graduates Amanda (Peterson) Kolpin ’03 and Ann Fletchall ’00 met up in Lincoln, Nebraska where they both were grading Advanced Placement Human Geography exams from students from around the United States.  Amanda is a Ph.D. candidate in geography at U-Wisconsin and Ann is a Ph.D. candidate in geography at Arizona State.

Graduation 2008

Ten geography students marched across the podium on June 1, 2008, collecting diplomas and saying goodbyes. We will miss them all.
