Geography graduate Christian Gilbert ’98 returned to Gustavus to deliver an impressive talk on the use of Geotechnology in the Classroom. Christian has a Master’s in educational technology which he puts to excellent use. He talked about how fast technology has changed in his career. He has pushed to continually incorporate new technologies into his world geography course. The course materials are now entirely on the web at:

One of his former students, Amanda Iverson, was in the audience to attest to his amazingly inspiring teaching abilities. His talk on November 3rd was an inspiration for professors and geography students alike.
