Geography student presents GIS study Posted on October 13th, 2014 by

MetcalfWill Metcalf (’15) represented Gustavus Geography very nicely while presenting his research at the 24th Annual Conference of the Minnesota GIS/LIS Consortium in Rochester, MN, earlier this month. Will’s work explores how GIS can be used as a tool to better communicate scientific research using GRACE, a satellite-based sensor which monitors glacier and hydrological change across the globe. Nice job, Will! Geography major Brianna Furey (’15) and Professor Jeff La Frenierre also attended. GIS students – we hope to see you sharing your work at the 25th annual conference in Duluth next year!
