Geography major John McLean is Gustavus Athlete of the Month.
Congratulations to junior Geography major and hockey goalie John McLean who was named Male Gustavus Athlete of the Month for January 2014.
“Thanks in part to a red-hot goaltender who is seeing the puck now better than anytime this season, the Gustavus men’s hockey team is in first place in the conference standings with 32 points at 13-4-3 overall and 10-1-1 in the MIAC. During one of the most grueling months of the season, netminder John McLean (So., Eagan, Minn.) was at his best. He helped the Gusties go 5-1-1 in January and for his efforts, has been named the Gustavus Male Athlete-of-the-Month for January” writes Ethan Armstrong.
